Mein erster Horse Speak Kurs
Bevor ich morgen tatsächlich eine Woche in Urlaub starte ein kurzer Bericht noch zum Thema Horse Speak Kurs.
Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich – mit Sharons ok – meinen ersten Horse Speak Kurs gegeben. Leider haben wir erst am zweiten Tag daran gedacht Fotos zu machen.
Mein erster Horse Speak Kurs
Eine nette Gruppe aus der Eifel hatte mich gefragt, ob ich ihnen ein paar Fagen beantworten kann bzw. würden sie ein paar Dinge gern mal live sehen, die man sich nur aus dem Buch nicht so vorstellen kann.
Ich habe mir ein Konzept erstellt, welches einführende Theorie über die wichtigen Themen, wie das Zero, Schutz, Taum und Nähe, die Buttons etc beinhaltet. Viel habe ich über den großen Zusammenhang „Begrüßung“ erläutert. Mir war es wichtig all dies erst in Partnerübungen Mensch zu Mensch zu üben. Dann erst alltagsnah zu üben ein Pferd von der Koppel holen, es begrüßen, auf den Teitplatz führen und dort ein paar Übungen/ Gespräche auspzurobieren. Das habe ich individuell gestaltet je nach Team.

Last weekend our first horse speak clinic and kirsti´s first horse speak clinic took place. I ´m a bit proud that we were the first. After i met kirsti and you at the equitana, we drove 500km to learn horse speak and get deeper into it.Because the book is great, helps a lot but is not enough. It was fantastic and worth it!
We got answered all our questions, kirsti was very patient with us. The first hours we spent with theory, kirsti was talking about the things that are important for horses, like zero ( to get into the right mood we did a short excercise ourselves) and space and protection and…we met „ betty button“ (the toy horse) and she explained the most important things about the buttons on „betty“.
Then we did some partner excercises, human being to human being.
After this we could practise this with a horse that is similar to ours at home, things like the greeting ritual including the go away face and fun with feet and mirroring, matching steps and „gone“
The next day kirsti showed us how to transfer this into the saddle. At the end she showed us brilhante, her horse in groundwork and ridden. In groundwork she also explained the connection/ correlation concerning the buttons For us it was very touching to experience how interested also strange horses talked to us as soon as we used horse speak. It has been a great clinic and we would do this again

It was an extremely interesting class last week. I learned a lot of new and astonishing things about the language and behaviour of horses. It was reaaly exciting to try horse speak with my own horse. I think he likes it!
Kirsti is a really good teacher-calm, always friendly to horses and humans and last but not least- able, to answer every question and explain problems in a way , everybody can understand. I´m looking forward to the next lesson.,
